Anti-PSMB5i antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PSMB5i is a known alias name of the protein proteasome 20S subunit beta 8, encoded by the PSMB8 gene in humans. This 276-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in fat cell differentiation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features cleaved post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PSMB5i include ALDD, D6S216, and D6S216E. Some PSMB5i antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
