Anti-K20 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target K20 is a known alias name of the protein keratin 20, encoded by the KRT20 gene in humans. This 424-amino acid residue protein is known to play a significant role in maintaining keratin filament organization in intestinal epithelia. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the intestinal epithelium. Other synonyms for K20 include CD20, CK-20, and CK20. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for K20 antibodies.
