Anti-ALDHIII antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ALDHIII antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ALDH3A1 gene, which encodes aldehyde dehydrogenase 3 family member A1. This protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of ALDHIII has a canonical amino acid length of 453 residues and a protein mass of 50.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the esophagus and oral mucosa. This target antigen may also be known as ALDH3. Western Blot is the most common application for the ALDHIII antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
