Anti-p80 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target p80 is a known alias name of the protein interleukin 1 receptor type 1, encoded by the IL1R1 gene in humans. This 569-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. It is localized to the cell membrane and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated, cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in T-helper cell subsets.
