Anti-HTN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein histatin 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 57 amino acid residues and a mass of 7 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is notably expressed in the testis. It is a member of the Histatin/statherin protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PPB, histidine-rich protein 1, post-PB protein, and HIS1. HTN1 gene orthologs have been reported in the rat and chimpanzee species. Some HTN1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
