Anti-Polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 3 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene GALNT3 in humans. The gene may also be known as GalNAc-T3, HFTC, HFTC1, HHS, GalNAc transferase 3, and UDP-GalNAc:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 3. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 72.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
