Anti-PIMREG antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PICALM interacting mitotic regulator. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 248 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in thymus. PIMREG is known to be involved with the cell cycle. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include FAM64A, RCS1, protein PIMREG, CALM interacting protein expressed in thymus and spleen, CALM-interactor expressed in thymus and spleen, and CATS. PIMREG gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of PIMREG antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
