Anti-SMIM29 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein small integral membrane protein 29. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 102 amino acid residues and a mass of 11.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in spleen, thymus, prostate, testis, uterus, small intestine, colon and peripheral blood leukocytes. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include uncharacterized protein C6orf1. SMIM29 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for SMIM29 antibodies.
