Anti-TIP47 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TIP47 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLIN3 gene, which encodes perilipin 3. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of TIP47 has a canonical amino acid length of 434 residues and a protein mass of 47.1 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane and cytoplasm of cells. Other names for this target antigen include M6PRBP1 and PP17. ELISA is the most common application for the TIP47 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
