Anti-CLDN14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein claudin 14. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 239 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of a the Claudin protein family, CLDN14 is known to play an important role in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space, through calcium-independent cell-adhesion activity. Synonyms for this target antigen include DFNB29.
