Anti-FAM98A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 98 member A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 518 amino acid residues and a mass of 55.3 kDa. It is noted to be expressed strongly in colorectal cancer cells. A member of the FAM98 protein family, FAM98A is known to be involved with the regulation of cell proliferation and the regulation of gene expression. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein FAM98A. FAM98A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FAM98A antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
