Anti-FAM62C antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FAM62C is a known alias name of the protein extended synaptotagmin 3, encoded by the ESYT3 gene in humans. This 886-amino acid residue protein is known to bind glycerophospholipids in a barrel-like domain and may play a role in cellular lipid transport (By similarity). It is localized to the ER and cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be widely expressed with high level in cerebellum and skin.
