Anti-FAM40B antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FAM40B antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the STRIP2 gene, which encodes striatin interacting protein 2. This protein is known to function in cell migration and cytoskeleton organization, among other biological roles. The human version of FAM40B has a canonical amino acid length of 834 residues and a protein mass of 95.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the testis, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. FAM40B is a member of the STRIP protein family.
