Anti-FAM118B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 118 member B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 351 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the FAM118 protein family, FAM118B is believed to play a role in Cajal bodies formation. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein FAM118B. FAM118B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FAM118B antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
