Anti-TSPYL5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TSPY like 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 417 amino acid residues and a mass of 45.1 kDa. It is notably expressed in the testis. A member of the Nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) protein family, TSPYL5 is known to be involved in modulation of cell growth and cellular response to gamma radiation probably via regulation of the Akt signaling pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include testis-specific Y-encoded-like protein 5 and TSPY-like protein 5. TSPYL5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some TSPYL5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
