Anti-Prohibitin 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PHB2 in humans. The Prohibitin 2 protein has an expected mass of 33.3 kDa, but there are 2 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as BAP, BCAP37, Bap37, PNAS-141, B-cell associated protein, and B-cell receptor-associated protein BAP37. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including yeast, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
