Anti-TMEM16G antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TMEM16G is a known alias name of the protein anoctamin 7, encoded by the ANO7 gene in humans. This 933-amino acid residue protein is known to have calcium-dependent phospholipid scramblase activity; scrambles phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine and galactosylceramide (By similarity). It is localized to the ER and cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in epithelial cells of the prostate. Other synonyms for TMEM16G include D-TMPP, DTMPP, and IPCA-5. Indicated applications for TMEM16G antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
