Anti-ABHD6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein abhydrolase domain containing 6, acylglycerol lipase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 337 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and lysosomes. A member of the AB hydrolase protein superfamily, ABHD6 is a reported lipase that preferentially hydrolysis medium-chain saturated monoacylglycerols including 2-arachidonoylglycerol. Synonyms for this target antigen include 2-arachidonoylglycerol hydrolase, abhydrolase domain-containing protein 6, lipase protein, and monoacylglycerol lipase ABHD6. ABHD6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ABHD6 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
