Anti-Ring finger protein 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene RNF2 in humans. The gene may also be known as BAP-1, BAP1, DING, HIPI3, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RING2, and HIP2-interacting protein 3. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 37.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
