Anti-Mch2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Mch2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CASP6 gene, which encodes caspase 6. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and epithelial cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of Mch2 has a canonical amino acid length of 293 residues and a protein mass of 33.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. Mch2 is a member of the Peptidase C14A protein family.
