Anti-HIES antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HIES is a known alias name of the protein signal transducer and activator of transcription 3, encoded by the STAT3 gene in humans. This 770-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the differentiation of certain cell types, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for HIES include ADMIO, ADMIO1, and APRF. A number of HIES antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
