Anti-ZFY antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein zinc finger protein Y-linked. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 801 amino acid residues and a mass of 90.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, ZFY is a suspected transcriptional activator. Synonyms for this target antigen include ZNF911 and zinc finger Y-chromosomal protein. ZFY gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and rat species. These ZFY antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
