Anti-ACBD6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein acyl-CoA binding domain containing 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 282 amino acid residues and a mass of 31.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the placenta and spleen. ACBD6 is known to bind long-chain acyl-coenzyme A molecules with a strong preference for unsaturated C18:1-CoA, lower affinity for unsaturated C20:4-CoA, and very weak affinity for saturated C16:0-CoA. Synonyms for this target antigen include acyl-CoA-binding domain-containing protein 6 and acyl-Coenzyme A binding domain containing 6. ACBD6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the Acbd6 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
