Anti-Cathepsin D antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CTSD in humans. The Cathepsin D protein has a reported amino acid length of 412 and an expected mass of 44.6 kDa. The protein may also be known as CLN10, CPSD, HEL-S-130P, ceroid-lipofuscinosis, neuronal 10, and epididymis secretory sperm binding protein Li 130P. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
