Anti-Tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TDO2 in humans. The gene may also be known as HYPTRP, TDO, TPH2, tryptamin 2,3-dioxygenase, and tryptophan oxygenase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 47.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, E.coli, yeast, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
