Anti-Dmx like 2 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the DMXL2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 3036 amino acid residues and a mass of 339.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is believed to serve as a scaffold protein for MADD and RAB3GA on synaptic vesicles. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Polyendocrine-polyneuropathy syndrome. Other names for this target antigen include DFNA71, EIEE81, PEPNS, RC3, dmX-like protein 2, rabconnectin-3, and DEE81. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of Dmx like 2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
