Anti-PPFIBP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PPFIA binding protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 876 amino acid residues and a mass of 98.5 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Liprin protein family, PPFIBP2 is believed to regulate the disassembly of focal adhesions. Synonyms for this target antigen include liprin-beta-2, PTPRF interacting protein, binding protein 2 (liprin beta 2), liprin beta 2, protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type f polypeptide-interacting protein-binding protein 2, and Cclp1. PPFIBP2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PPFIBP2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
