Anti-MICAL like 2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MICALL2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 904 amino acid residues and a mass of 97.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 5 different isoforms for this protein. The MICAL like 2 protein is involved with cytoskeleton organization and neuronal development, among other functions. Other names for this target antigen include junctional Rab13-binding protein, molecule interacting with CasL-like 2, and MICAL-like protein 2.
