Anti-XK related 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the XKR3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 459 amino acid residues and a mass of 53.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is noted to be expressed predominantly, if not exclusively, in testis. It is a member of the XK protein family. Other names for this target antigen include X Kell blood group precursor-related family, member 3, X-linked Kx blood group related 3, XK, Kell blood group complex subunit-related family, member 3, expressed in testis, and XK-related protein 3. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the XK related 3 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
