Anti-TSPOAP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TSPO associated protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1857 amino acid residues and a mass of 200.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the brain, pituitary gland and thymus in adults. It is a member of the RIMBP protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include PBR-IP, PRAX-1, PRAX1, RIM-BP1, RIMBP1, and BZRAP1. TSPOAP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TSPOAP1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies.
