Anti-NCBP3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein nuclear cap binding subunit 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 620 amino acid residues and a mass of 70.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the NCBP3 protein family, NCBP3 is reported to associate with NCBP1/CBP80 to form an alternative cap-binding complex (CBC) which plays a key role in mRNA export. Synonyms for this target antigen include CTD-3195I5.1, CTD-3195I5.5, and nuclear cap-binding protein subunit 3. NCBP3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some NCBP3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
