Anti-PCNX1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein pecanex 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2341 amino acid residues and a mass of 258.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum and fallopian tube. It is a member of the Pecanex protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PCNXL1, pecanex, pecanex-like protein 1, pecanex homolog 1, and PCNX. PCNX1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunofluorescence is the most common application for the PCNX1 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
