Anti-MED24 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mediator complex subunit 24. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 989 amino acid residues and a mass of 110.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Mediator complex subunit 24 protein family, Med24 is a known component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Synonyms for this target antigen include CRSP100, CRSP4, DRIP100, MED5, THRAP4, TRAP100, mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 24, and ARC100. MED24 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of Med24 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
