Anti-CD79b molecule antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CD79B in humans. The CD79b molecule protein has an expected mass of 26 kDa, but there are 3 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as IGB, AGM6, B29, B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain, and B-cell-specific glycoprotein B29. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
