Anti-NECTIN3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein nectin cell adhesion molecule 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 549 amino acid residues and a mass of 61 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis and placenta as well as in many cell lines, including epithelial cell lines. A member of the Nectin protein family, NECTIN3 is reported to play a role in cell-cell adhesion through heterophilic trans-interactions with nectin-like proteins or nectins, such as trans-interaction with NECTIN2 at Sertoli-spermatid junctions. Synonyms for this target antigen include CDW113, PPR3, PRR3, PVRL3, PVRR3, poliovirus receptor-related 3, poliovirus receptor-related protein 3, and CD113. NECTIN3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of NECTIN3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
