Anti-GIT ArfGAP 2 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the GIT2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 759 amino acid residues and a mass of 84.5 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 11 different isoforms for this protein. It is a GTPase-activating protein for ADP ribosylation factor family members, including ARF1. Other names for this target antigen include CAT2, PKL, ARF GTPase-activating protein GIT2, ARF GAP GIT2, G protein-coupled receptor kinase interacting ArfGAP 2, and CAT-2. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of GIT ArfGAP 2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
