Anti-Med antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Med is a known alias name of the protein collagen type IX alpha 2 chain, encoded by the COL9A2 gene in humans. This 689-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a structural component of hyaline cartilage and vitreous of the eye. It is localized to the extracellular matrix and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the kidney, eye, and cartilage. Indicated applications for Med antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence.
