Anti-TIR domain containing adaptor protein antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TIRAP in humans. The gene may also be known as BACTS1, Mal, MyD88-2, wyatt, toll/interleukin-1 receptor domain-containing adapter protein, and MyD88 adapter-like protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 23.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
