Anti-GSTA5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein glutathione S-transferase alpha 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 222 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. A member of the Alpha protein family, GSTA5 is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Synonyms for this target antigen include GST class-alpha member 5, glutathione S-transferase A5-5, and glutathione S-transferase A5. Some GSTA5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
