Anti-DET1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DET1 partner of COP1 E3 ubiquitin ligase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 550 amino acid residues and a mass of 63.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the ovary, some lymphoid organs and resting leukocytes. A member of the DET1 protein family, DET1 is a known component of the E3 ubiquitin ligase DCX DET1-COP1 complex, which is required for ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins. Synonyms for this target antigen include DET1, COP1 ubiquitin ligase partner, de-etiolated homolog 1, and DET1 homolog. DET1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some DET1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
