Anti-CEP126 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein centrosomal protein 126. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1117 amino acid residues and a mass of 125.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in the brain, lung, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, testis and ovary. CEP126 is reported to participate in cytokinesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include centrosomal protein of 126 kDa and centrosomal protein 126kDa. CEP126 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for CEP126 antibodies.
