Anti-HCP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HCP is a known alias name of the protein protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 6, encoded by the PTPN6 gene in humans. This 595-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell differentiation and cytokine-mediated signaling pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the spleen, skin, lymph node, lung, and appendix.
