Anti-CCDC68 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coiled-coil domain containing 68. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 335 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in bone marrow, colon, small intestine, spleen, testis, trachea and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). CCDC68 is known to be a centriolar protein required for centriole subdistal appendage assembly and microtubule anchoring in interphase cells. Synonyms for this target antigen include CTCL tumor antigen se57-1, CTCL-associated antigen se57-1, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma associated antigen, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma-associated antigen se57-1, and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 68. CCDC68 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of CCDC68 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
