Anti-BAT antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BAT is a known alias name of the protein bile acid-CoA:amino acid N-acyltransferase, encoded by the BAAT gene in humans. This 418-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the amidation of bile acids (BAs) with the amino acids taurine and glycine. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the gallbladder mucosa and pancreas. Other synonyms for BAT include BACAT, BACAT, and BACD1. Indicated applications for BAT antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
