Anti-MRPL43 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L43. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 215 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Mitochondrion-specific ribosomal protein mL43 protein family, MRPL43 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation and protein translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit protein mL43, mitochondrial ribosomal protein bMRP36a, and 39S ribosomal protein L43, mitochondrial. MRPL43 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These MRPL43 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
