Anti-p02 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p02 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TPT1 gene, which encodes tumor protein, translationally-controlled 1. This protein is known to function in the transport of ions and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other biological roles. The human version of p02 has a canonical amino acid length of 172 residues and a protein mass of 19.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include HRF and TCTP. Western Blot is the most common application for the p02 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
