Anti-Granzyme H antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the GZMH gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 246 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.3 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is notably expressed in NK cells. A member of the Peptidase S1 protein family, it is known to be involved with the apoptotic pathway and proteolysis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include CGL-2, CSP-C, CTLA1, CTSGL2, cathepsin G-like 2, protein h-CCPX, and CCP-X.
