Anti-PEBP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phosphatidylethanolamine binding protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 187 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein family, PEBP1 is known to bind ATP, opioids and phosphatidylethanolamine. Synonyms for this target antigen include HCNPpp, HEL-210, HEL-S-34, HEL-S-96, PBP, PEBP, RKIP, and HCNP. PEBP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 80 citations in the literature describe the use of PEBP1 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
