Anti-NECAP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NECAP endocytosis associated 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 263 amino acid residues and a mass of 28.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the adrenal gland, tonsil, and adipose tissue. A member of the NECAP protein family, NECAP2 is known to be involved in endocytosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include adaptin ear-binding coat-associated protein 2 and adaptin-ear-binding coat-associated protein 2. NECAP2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some NECAP2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
