Anti-SERINC2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein serine incorporator 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 455 amino acid residues and a mass of 50.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the TDE1 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include tumor differentially expressed protein 2. SERINC2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SERINC2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
